How I Went From Invisible To Visible & Booked

For years, I was insecure about my voice, my heavy Brummie accent made me feel like I didn’t belong in certain rooms, and my high-pitched tone (especially when I got excited) led people to assume I was a woman (“Is Tru short for Trudy?” I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve heard that). And yet, despite those doubts, I’ve spoken on national TV in front of millions, generated £30,000 in a single month from paid speaking engagements, and became the first and only Black podcaster from the Midlands to crack Apple Podcasts’ Top 10 in Business.
